Nutritional assessment of clients more complete in Nutrium

At Nutrium, we work daily to improve our software and to make sure professionals are able to do a complete nutritional assessment and provide the most comprehensive care to their clients.

That is why it's important to have tools to collect all the important information regarding the client, such as their eating patterns, allergies, intolerances, diseases.

To streamline this process, Nutrium allows professionals to select different ready-to-choose options regarding these aspects to collect more detailed information regarding the client's nutritional status.

What are the new assessment fields available?

In addition to new fields regarding clients' nutritional status, we also improved some of the available ones.

Here's what new and updated:

  • Clinical goals;
  • Types of diet;
  • Allergies;
  • Food intolerances;
  • Nutritional deficiencies;
  • Diseases.

Clinical goals

Nutrition protocols must have a specific goal to keep clients motivated and measure their success.

In this section, in particular, it is important to establish the clinical goal, so the professional knows exactly why a particular protocol was addressed. The client will not have access to this information.

Clinical goals can range from increase energy intake or increase fiber intake to improve swelling or increase the consumption of a particular micronutrient.

In each appointment, professionals are able to verify the previous clinical goal and update it.

In the first step of the appointment, Information, you can select from the different options of clinical goals.

Types of diet

Several eating patterns fit different lifestyles, such as eating patterns based in plants such as vegan or macrobiotic, or religious eating patterns such as Halal or Kosher.

Due to this conditioning, the client's nutrition protocol, and the foods they are to be recommended on their meal plans, you can now register the different diet types, so it is always on top of your mind.

This information can be registered in the section Dietary History in the first step of the appointment.

When creating the meal plan in section 5. Meals you can then see the selected options of the Diet Type of the client.

Now you can quickly check if you need to add pancakes with or without eggs according to the clients' preferences within seconds.

Allergies

Dietary allergies are very common. Since they present a hazard to people in general, it is very important to assess this information during the first contact with the client.

Celerypeanutsglúten, or cow milk protein are a few of the allergens added to Nutrium in this update.

Allergies can be registered in the section Dietary History, and these options in automatically saved into Nutrium. More than one option can be selected.

Food intolerances

Food intolerances can decrease your clients' well-being and should also be assessed in your first contact.

From dietary components such as lactosegluten, or FODMAPS to aminesfood coloring, or alcohol, professionals now are provided with a comprehensive list to choose from.

This information can be registered in the section Dietary history right below allergies.

Nutrition deficiencies

Nutritional deficiencies are sometimes overlooked. That is why it is very important the monitor the client's nutritional status be detected in time and be corrected.

If you detect any nutritional deficiency of the client by analyzing their dietary habits or even blood analysis, you can now register this information in Nutrium. This field is very important for the professional to be always reminded of this.

Nutritional deficiencies are registered in a new field in the Dietary history section, right below Food intolerances.

Diseases

This updated field now includes a different range of diseases that can be easily selected, such as Type 1 or 2 diabetescoeliac diseaserenal diseasehypertension among others. It is also possible to add options not yet available.

These can be registered in Medical history.

New measurement: Peak Heart Rate

In addition to these new nutrition assessment fields, this update also includes a new measure: Peak Heart Rate.

In step 3. Measurements it's now possible to register Peak Heart Rate in bpm.
